Saw this video on tumblr, and I teared while watching this. These American elites serve their nation with pride and honor. Despite knowing that there's a very high chance that they will have to sacrifice their lives when being posted to Afghanistan, they are still filled with gusto. You may say that they have no choice and whatnots. But to me, it takes hell lot of courage and bravery, to actually get onto the military helicopter/aircraft and get deployed in the war-stricken areas. In these areas, its like you have to keep your eyes wide open, just in case any rebels launch an ambush on you. Like any minute, it will be war time. As brave and courageous these men may be, the ones in the most difficult situation will be their loved ones. Yes it is very glorious to have an American elite in your family, but the thought of sending them off to risk their lives for their country, and the high possibility of losing them, it just simply kills them. It will be for me, having to send my husband or son or grandson off to battlefield, knowing that they may not make it back home alive.
